Although leaf-bare has only begun to terrorize Willow Islands, it's proving to be a nasty one. Light snow flurries hint of rampaging snowstorms to come, and the temperature is dropping daily. It won’t be long before the "real" leaf-bare weather steps in, and all of the Clans will be tested to the limits. Even the well-stocked MossClan forests won't have enough prey to go around as what might be the coldest leaf-bare for several generations sets in; even the elders can't remember a leaf-bare that has set in as fast or as harshly as this one. When the wind isn't blowing bitter gales, icy rain that turns to slush is starting to bully the forests and moorlands. For sure, this leaf-bare is going to be a long, freezing one - and new-leaf won't be showing it's sunny warmth for quite a while.
